What started small with one gas spitbraai machine in 1985, grew into the biggest and most well-known spit-braai franchise in the Western Cape over the next 22 years. Today Spit-Braai King has franchises in Gauteng as well, and we are looking to break into the Eastern Cape and Kwa-Zulu Natal markets during the next year.
We started working out of our house kitchen all those years ago, and grew steadily for the first 15 years, adding more and more gas operated spit-braai's to cope with the increasing popularity of having a traditional " Lamb on the spit basted with Lappies Braai Sauce".
It was only in 1999 that we decided that the way forward was to franchise our by now, very popular concept. We have been spreading word far and wide for the last couple of years, and have managed to sell franchises in the Western Cape, Gauteng, and are hoping to set up franchises in Natal and the Eastern Cape soon.We are currently working out of our modern kitchen in Somerset West where our dedicated kitchen staff work with only the freshed ingredients and we pride ourselves that we only spitbraai A2 super lamb.
We are fortunate to manufacture and sell Lappies Braai Sauce. This basting, which has grown into one of the most wanted sauces in the Western Cape, is the reason our lamb taste so incredible. Judging from 22 years experience, as well as from the rave reviews and public support, Spit-Braai King is by far the biggest and most widely used and recommended Spit-Braai catering company in the Western Cape. With the advent of our franchises, we hope to extend this form of catering with it's unique taste, all over the country.
